Looking back the really pleasing thing to me was the team actually demonstrated some heart, resolve, some fight in the dog etc. Spurs quite frankly were strolling it and like our home game against Watford last season where we thought we were home and hosed at 2-0 up ( and tbh a little bit cheeky to Watford ) the team behind started to compete and the team in front was caught napping.
Now we need that spirit to be carried over in to PL games.

The much maligned Noble should start as he clearly has a role to play as skipper. A front pairing of Ayew and Hernandez with Lanzini in a central role would seem to be the most likely source of goals.

I noticed first half Ayew and Carroll were trying to play as a flat pair and Dier was getting so much room as a defensive midfielder and just building attacks. Second half Ayew was ahead of Carroll rather than next to him and Carroll was playing more as a number 10 with Lanzini buzzing all over. That worked better because at least there was someone to get onto Carroll's flick ons and by dropping deeper Carrol would take a centre back into an area a centre back doesn't want to go. Not rocket science but if you have Ayew or Chicarito further forward they have more chance of breaking through.

Amazing what a bit of desire and hunger to win headers and press the ball can do

I'm not saying they didn't happen,but I can't remember that many brilliant saves, the only one I remember was the one from the header, and any keeper would have saved it?

Always a real pleasure to beat Spurs (& even better at Wembley)
But, in reality they could have been out of sight at half time were it not for some stunning saves from Adrian (who should be our 1st choice goalie)
We were awful 1st half in truth & nobody would have predicted anything other than a heavy thrashing
Spurs took their foot off the gas, rather than stepping up a gear & we amazingly conjured up 3 goals from nowhere then managed to grimly hang on
Delighted with the comeback, but it just papers over the cracks
I still want Bilic to go

Weird night, Tottenham never lose after going 2-0 up and we hardly ever win after going 1-0 down, let alone 2.
Hopefully not just a freak result like when we beat Liverpool 4-1 and years later man utd 4-0 and ended the season being relegated...
